Allison Huffman was born and raised in California. She attended Pacific University outside of Portland, OR. At Pacific University she pursued and received a B.A. in Film Production, in association with the North West Film Center (nwfilm.org), which combed her interest in narrative and working within a diverse group of people towards a common goal.

Olympia WA, Old Capital or the Department of Education BuildingAllison and Isaac then packed and repacked their little red car following career and education from Oregon to Los Angeles then to North Carolina. It was in North Carolina while Isaac attended Graduate School at UNC that Allison started at an exciting position combining her past career with what would be her further path. At the School of Communication Arts a proprietary media school she worked in the role of a career counselor for an eccentric student body. Allison found a passion beyond spools of film, well oiled Dollies and editing with Final Cut Pro. She began to realize the power of communicating in its striped down form of one-on-one conversation. After Isaac received his M.S. in Library Science they both packed up their car once again and happily retuned to there favorite area of the world, the Pacific Northwest specifically Olympia, WA.

Allison began her employment at CenterForce working with individuals with developmental and physical disabilities, an experience which has confirmed her passion for social services. Currently she is enrolled in Pacific Lutheran University’s Marriage and Family Therapy M.A program, accredited through the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (aamft.org). She will enjoy returning back to school and the hands-on philosophy of PLU. This includes practices, one in the onsite Couples & Family Therapy Center serving the community and the other in an off site mental health clinic. Allison will graduate from PLU in the Summer 2009.
